This spring tester operates with computerized numerical control and includes a computer with HDD and touch screen. It is a self-supporting, two-pillar structure with ball screws. Its electronic setup enables cycles of stress of sinusoidal form resulting in machine preservation and remarkable performance – notwithstanding the ball screw mechanism. Dyno is a universal testing machine capable of carrying out tensile, compression, bending and shearing tests. It can operate in three modes: manual, semi-automatic, and automatic. The configuration presented here is a spring testing machine which can perform tension and compression tests on varius kinds of springs but can be modularised taking into account that the structure can house 3 permanently installed load cells, each one equippable with customizable tools for compression tests, like plates, and grips for tensile tests, on springs and on varioys materials, including tensile tests at break (it’s perfect also for materials characterization). Our system uses several cards (for axis and cell reader control) that are connected via CAN bus to enable displacements to position or force at a 1000 Hz feedback speed (meaning that load cell reading is performed 1,000 times per second). Maximum indexing is 1/200.000.
DYNO SPRING TESTER: FUNCTIONALITIES AND SOFTWARE
Dyno universal testing machine operates with DC motors drive and computerized numerical control. The machine comes with an integrated computer with HDD and sturdy industrial touch screen. The composition of the test recipe is totally user friendly. It is a self-supporting, two-pillar structure with ball screws. It enables cycles of stress of sinusoidal form which result in machine preservation and remarkable performance.
The computer programme for this machine has entirely been developed by Easydur based on Windows 10 system, with statistics and certificates management in Excel format, allowing users free modularisation and customisation. Each programmed test can be easily launched by using the keys on the front panel, so there is no need to access the preset programmes.
Up to 8 load cells can be inserted in the machine, 3 of which are permanently installed. Dyno’s available loads can be combined, at will, from 10 N to 5000 N and are selected via software. Load cells are constantly protected from overload, including when not in use. In the event of an unpredicted shock or out-of-scale condition, the axis will automatically unlock. It also features integrated load cell yield compensation.
