PRODUCTION LINE HARDNESS TESTER WITH AUTOMATIC FORKLIFT INTEGRATION (AGV)
This production line hardness tester, designed for a special application, consists of two main test zones (called ‘Zone A’ and ‘Zone B’), each split into four test positions (A1 – A2 – A3 – A4) + (B1 – B2 – B3 – B4), to ensure maximum flexibility and adaptability to every Brinell or Rockwell hardness testing situation and need.
This is made possible by the fact that this hardness testing solution is equipped with 3 motorised axes.
The special configuration of the Easydur industrial line hardness tester includes the integration of the entire testing system with a series of AGV automatic forklift trucks. This allows control over production that extends to 100% of the components.
Easydur designed this line hardness tester in such a way as to ensure smooth and automatic transition between the two available indenters, in order to be able to perform both Rockwell hardness tests (HRC/HRB) and Brinell hardness tests (HB, mainly Brinell 3000).
In fact, one of the main features of this innovative line hardness tester is that it has a turret head with two different indenters: it is precisely this that allows both HRC and HB hardness tests to be performed without having to manually change the indenter. This feature makes it a solution particularly suited to automatic systems that are not accessible to the operator, who is therefore unable to intervene and manually change the tool.
THE IDEAL SOLUTION FOR HARDNESS TESTS ON 100% OF PRODUCTION
Taking into account all its characteristics, this new Rockwell and Brinell hardness tester is particularly suitable for automatic cycle testing, as it is designed to be interfaced directly even with several loading and unloading robots (capable of working, for example, with pendulum operation). The machine performs tests by directly communicating with the forklift truck or handling system through the barcode using the OPC-UA protocol. Therefore, it finds its ideal application as part of automatic test lines, where 100% testing of production and the satisfaction of all functionalities typical of Industry 4.0 standards are required.
FULLY CONTROLLED HARDNESS TESTER
This hardness tester is fully controlled in its movements on the three axes: X, Y and Z. Thanks to a specific software developed by Easydur, it can perform Brinell and Rockwell hardness tests on a wide range of components at any point on the same, ensuring very high versatility levels.
The system for loading/unloading the components on which the hardness test is performed can then be programmed quickly and intuitively, so that the components can be sorted as needed based on “pass” or “fail” results.
